21/12 A Dickens Style Christmas Dinner & Wine Pairing (Internations)

Saturday 21st December: It is the Christmas season and we would like to invite you to a special sit-down food and wine pairing, with a dinner fit for Dickens himself!

We will eat and learn our way through traditional Christmas cuisine, in good company with good wines, because “There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor.” -Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol.

After a mulled wine and cheeseboard reception, the menu will be as follows:

Starter: Wine 1 with “Charitable soup” (vegetable broth)

Mains: Wine 2 with roast turkey and chestnut stuffing, gravy, apple sauce, mashed potato, seasonal roast veg (brussels sprouts, carrots and parsnips), yorkshire pudding

Dessert: Wine 3 with Christmas plum pudding or Mince Pie

WHEN: Saturday 21st December, 20.30h-23h COST: Earlybird price 30€ if prepaid by 13th December, 35€ after

Hello, I’m Zara Patterson, originally from Northern Ireland but Barcelona has been my home since 2006. Although my uni background is in PR and Events, my natural progression in gastronomy along with years of wine training has led to sommelier accreditations from WSET (Level 2 Award in Wines) and Gremi de Restauració (Sommelier Diploma). At Escuela Hofmann I have undertaken their Michelin-star specialisation diploma in paella, to take my cooking classes at Savour Academy to the next level. For the sustainability cause, I also received my Environmental Management qualification from Foment Barcelona. With Savour Academy, I’m combining my love of creative culinary events and hosting in my favourite place in the world. I like to share original, sustainable and fun experiences; preferably with food and wine, based in Barcelona.
